The week of August 1st!

Dear St. Stephen’s church family,

Blessings and peace in our Lord Jesus Christ.

As we come to the end of July, I hope that people are having time for rest and recreation.

If you happen to be on holidays, and would like to take a photo of yourself in a St. Stephen’s t-shirt, we will post on facebook! It’s a fun way to keep connected! Even if you’re having a Staycation…you could still send us a photo. Send to the office or to Cathryn.

Parish Cycle of Prayer:

Throughout July , we pray for the ministry of Camp Okema at Emma Lake. We pray for all leaders, campers and families, especially those from our parish, that through camp, they might grow closer to Jesus and his love for them. We pray for the safety and health of all involved, and give thanks for the many years of ministry that have taken place at Camp Okema.

We pray for Margaret and family and for Chad S and family.

A quote to inspire us to remember the poor and vulnerable, as Jesus taught us:

Irenaeus [taught] that the glory of God is seen in a living human being.  Let the light of that glory shine so brightly that everyone may come to recognize the inestimable value of all human life. Even the weakest and most vulnerable, the sick, the old, the unborn and the poor, are masterpieces of God’s creation, made in his own image, destined to live forever, and deserving of the utmost reverence and respect.
