Pentecost!

Dear St. Stephen’s church family,

Blessings in this week of Pentecost!

I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.” -Psalm 122:1

Singing into Unity!

The Prairie Centre for Ecumenism is hosting an Ecumenical hymn sing on Saturday, June 4th at 3 pm, at Emmanuel Anglican Church on 607 Dufferin Avenue. All are invited and welcome to attend!

Malayalam Service this Past Sunday

Last Sunday we celebrated Pentecost with a joint Malalayam/English celebration and program at our 10:30 am service. We shared in worship, sang a Malayalam hymn (thank you Wyndham and Henry for learning this song and practicing it with the congregation)! We shared in fellowship with birthday cake for the church! and a program of various creative offerings. Thank you to all who helped prepare the refreshments and shared in the joy of the Holy Spirit! Thank you to all who read, sang and danced. Thank you to Julie for preparing a matching game, with the name JESUS printing in many languages. Let us continue to be a Christ centred, Holy Spirit led church, a caring community, that is outward focussed.

Youth Group Schedule

Youth Group–Friday night, June 2nd, at 7 pm. We’ll make Good Shepherd’s Pie to give away! And have a pub night with root beer, crokinole, trivia and snacks. We’ll end with evening prayer.

New Church Merch!

T shirts ($23), long sleeved tees ($27), hoodies ($40) and zip up hoodies ($44) all available for order. Each item comes in a variety of colours and sizes. Prices include tax. You can place an order in person or by email and pay by cheque, cash or etransfer. Orders are due by June 20th, and will take 2-3 weeks to come in! It’s not to early to think about Christmas in July (well….it might be…but a St. Stephen’s t shirt would make a great stocking stuffer!).

Every moment of our human life is a moment of crisis; for at every moment we are called upon to make an all-important decision – to choose between the way that leads to death and spiritual darkness, and the way that leads towards light and life; between interests exclusively temporal, and the eternal order; between our personal will, and the will of God. -Aldous Huxley

Sent with joy and hope in Christ,

The Rev. Amy
